Position Overview

Alpine Energy Services is seeking an Accounting & Payroll Coordinator to manage and own day-to-day financial operations.

This role is responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll coordination, and maintaining accurate financial records in a fast-paced, field-driven environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently while supporting operations and leadership.

Key Responsibilities (Full-Cycle Bookkeeping)

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively
    Support month-end and year-end close processes

 

Payroll & Compliance

  • Coordinate and process payroll
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Manage payroll taxes and statutory remittances
  • Experience managing payroll with Wagepoint

 

Reporting & Financial Support

  • Prepare and support internal financial reporting
  • Monitor and flag variances against budgets or expectations
  • Assist with GST filings and tax documentation
  • Support cash flow tracking, collections, and vendor payments

 

Operations & Job Costing

  • Work closely with operations to ensure accurate job costing and tracking
  • Align financial data with field activity and invoicing
  • Support project-based accounting needs

 

QualificationsRequired

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field
  • 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Experience with Wagepoint
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with operations teams

 

Assets

  • Experience in oilfield, service, or project-based environments
  • Familiarity with GST filings and Canadian compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting multiple entities or divisions

Work Environment

Calgary Office – Full-time, in-office Monday through Thursday; remote work on Fridays
Collaborative team supporting field operations and leadership
Job Type: Full-time

 

Pay Range : $46,000.00-$86,000.00 per year
