Position Overview
Alpine Energy Services is seeking an Accounting & Payroll Coordinator to manage and own day-to-day financial operations.
This role is responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll coordination, and maintaining accurate financial records in a fast-paced, field-driven environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently while supporting operations and leadership.
Key Responsibilities (Full-Cycle Bookkeeping)
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Payroll & Compliance
- Coordinate and process payroll
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Manage payroll taxes and statutory remittances
- Experience managing payroll with Wagepoint
Reporting & Financial Support
- Prepare and support internal financial reporting
- Monitor and flag variances against budgets or expectations
- Assist with GST filings and tax documentation
- Support cash flow tracking, collections, and vendor payments
Operations & Job Costing
- Work closely with operations to ensure accurate job costing and tracking
- Align financial data with field activity and invoicing
- Support project-based accounting needs
QualificationsRequired
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
- Experience with Wagepoint
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with operations teams
Assets
- Experience in oilfield, service, or project-based environments
- Familiarity with GST filings and Canadian compliance requirements
- Experience supporting multiple entities or divisions

Work Environment
Calgary Office – Full-time, in-office Monday through Thursday; remote work on Fridays

Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range : $46,000.00-$86,000.00 per year
