Electrical Estimator

POSITION SUMMARY

Strike is hiring an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Fort Saskatchewan.

LOCATION/DETAILS:

• Candidates must be local to the Fort Saskatchewan area

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• This role requires strong analytical skills, specialized E&I knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Reviews proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required content of the estimate.
• Develop full project estimates across lump sum, unit rate, and T&M contracts
• Provides input regarding estimating strategies including profitability, risk management, execution strategy, and costs.
• Consults with other departments to ensure labour, equipment and materials reflect current pricing, construction costs and timelines.
• Participate in bid reviews, clarifications, and post-tender discussions with clients
• Attend site visits as required.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
• Review subcontractor/supplier bids and support negotiations and award recommendations
• Prepares and presents estimate plans, estimate schedules, man-hour budgets and fulfills all required deliverables to provide an exceptional overall bid proposal.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

•  Journeyperson Electrician with a minimum of 3 years of electrical estimating experience

Experience

• Industrial electrical field experience is preferred.
• Experience in scheduling is an asset.
• Extensive experience interpreting drawing packages.
• Electrical estimating experience
• Instrumentation knowledge is an asset.
• Experience working with Accubid estimating software.
• Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Blubeam software experience

• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, instrumentation, and industrial installation practices.

• Able to work in a team environment or independently.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Understanding and knowledge of scheduling is an asset

• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work.
