POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Receivable Administrator handles vendor invoices, payments, and data. Responsibilities include ensuring timely processing of incoming customer payments, determination of customer credit worthiness, acts as a point of contact for clients regarding invoicing and payments, and creating, distributing and maintaining accounts receivable and credit reports
POSITION DETAILS
- Candidates must be local to Grande Prairie
- This is a full time, hourly position
- Wage negotiable depending on experience
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports in Microsoft Dynamics AX, including invoice aging, credit information, and holdback records
- Prepare and distribute accounts receivable information as required as well as ad hoc reporting requirements
- Analyze financial data and make recommendations to controller regarding acceptable credit limits for new and existing customers
- Monitor lien periods and initiate lien placement as required
- Participate in industry credit group
- Maintain necessary level of confidentiality regarding financial records and client information
- Communicate with clients regarding billing and collection
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and mitigate client collection issues, coordinating with internal resources as required
- Initiate credit checks for potential and new customers and perform annual review and adjust existing client credit limits
- Process cash receipts
QUALIFICATIONS
- Related diploma or bachelor’s degree (e.g. business administration, accounting, commerce) preferred
- Three to five years of relevant experience in a full cycle Accounts Payable role
- Oil and gas construction industry experience is considered an asset
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications, preferably Dynamics AX
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to meet expectations set with internal and external clients
- Capable of working independently with minimal direction
- Possesses an eye for detail related to data consistency, accuracy of entry with a focus on avoiding duplicate entries
- Proactively seeks and accomplishes tasks that lead to a safe, efficient, and productive work environment
