Ace Instruments Ltd is currently seeking Shop Calibration and Repairs Technician to join our team.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Know and follow the fundamental safety responsibilities
- Ensure instruments, gauges, and testing devices are calibrated correctly and give accurate readings to ensure proper performance, precision, and accuracy
- Inspecting, testing, dismantling, cleaning, and repairing mechanical regulating and controlling devices
- Troubleshooting equipment failures
- Calibrate chart recorders with differential, static, and temperature elements
- Verify digital and analog gauges are calibrated correctly and re-range if needed
- Trouble shoot and test simple pneumatic and liquid pumps
- Read parts breakdowns and order parts and kits
- Read wiring diagrams to wire electronics and test/ calibrate correctly
- Prove liquid flow meters
- Set and tag pressure relief valves and pilots
- Repair linear, rotating, rack and pinion style actuators and valves
- Repair, mount, and calibrate pneumatic positioners and controllers
- Manage workload to ensure completion within timeframe
- Completing tickets and reports
- Responding to queries
- General housekeeping and maintenance of repair area
Requirements:
- Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Customer service focused, producing quality work
- Basic understanding of electrical
- Familiar with tools and machinery required to perform repair duties
- Experienced with the interpretation of technical reference documents
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Basic understanding of computers
- Ability to work effectively alone and in a team environment
- Relevant industry certification
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Competent and current with all Health, Safety and Environment standards and training
