Aero Rental Services, a division of Western Production Services Corp.
This is mainly an in-shop oilfield position, where the individual is required to wash, transport, inspect, assemble and service rental equipment. This position will be expected to do beginner supervised field work intermittently during the year including BOP and frac head rig ups and tear downs, hydraulic torque wrench jobs, valve grease jobs as well as equipment operation on customer locations. This position will also be required to complete all aspects of shop service work and work orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Arranging transportation of equipment
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- Operating Forklifts and Overhead Cranes
- Provide support to Operations personnel, i.e. putting orders together, delivering or picking up equipment
- Wash, Inspect, Assemble, Paint equipment
- Ensuring SOP’s (standard operating procedures) are followed and improved upon
- Reduce LTA’s/LRI’s (lost time Accidents/Total Recordable Incidents)
- Participate in training programs that will enhance skills and abilities in performing job expectations
- Responsible for shutting down and securing of shop, yard etc. when necessary
- Complete daily crane and forklift inspections
- Complete field rig ups and tear downs of BOP’s and frac heads
- Service and provide maintenance to all Aero equipment, including shop and field repairs
- Complete post-job equipment servicing work orders and submit to billing clerk in a timely fashion
- Assist management with day to day operations in all aspects of Aero’s business, including other items not mentioned above
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 0 – 5 years industry related experience
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
- Strong troubleshooting and decision making skills
- Excellent observation and analytical skills
- Previous site knowledge of drilling and completion activities is an asset
- Previous Valve Technician experience is an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Exceptional multi-tasking abilities and prioritization skills
- General knowledge of safety procedures, manuals and other related resources
- Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
- Mechanically inclined is an asset
- Computer knowledge and skills are an asset
- First Aid Ticket an Asset but not required
- H2S Ticket an Asset but not required
- Fork Lift Training an Asset but not required
- Over Crane Certified an Asset but not required
- Valid Driver’s License
Special Conditions of Employment
- Travel will be required to other company locations as well as to vendor locations therefore a valid driver’s license is required
- Overtime will be required as requested
