Apex Oilfield Services is a privately owned company providing innovative rental equipment, service, and support to the energy industry. As the largest, privately owned wellsite accommodations and solids control providers in Western Canada, we are currently seeking Solids Control Specialists.

As a Solids Control Specialist, you will be responsible for the service, repair, maintenance, and operation of the Apex fleet of solids control equipment. This is a rotational, sit-in position is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a set rotational schedule, secure employment, and career growth with a progressive organization.

Responsibilities include:

– Servicing, maintaining, and operating our solids control equipment
– Managing closed loop systems and processing fluid; stripping and dewatering fluid
– Completing rig-ups, rig-outs, and sit-in jobs on a rotational schedule; typically, 12-hour shifts
– Troubleshooting and repairing problems with motors, electrical, panels, and valves
– Prioritizing and working independently and in a team environment
– Ensuring accurate service records of all tasks completed
– Maintaining a high standard of quality control and organization
– Dealing effectively with customer concerns and requests
– Adhering to all company and industry procedures and safety requirements

The desirable candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

-Previous rig, solids control, or derrick experience
-Mechanical aptitude
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Positive attitude and ability and desire to learn
-Excellent organization, time management, delegation, and people skills
-Desire and ability to perform physical requirements of the job in extreme conditions and work in a drug and     alcohol free environment.
