Barrel Oil Corp
Barrel Oil Corp was formed in early 2019 to acquire and optimize internally identified producing oil and gas
opportunities in conventional reservoirs of western Canada. Barrel currently produces more than 4,000 boe/d
from several producing areas in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Barrel is looking to add an intermediate production
accountant on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full cycle production and revenue accounting for operated and non-operated properties in Alberta and
Saskatchewan - Compliant monthly filings (volumetrics, splits, SAF/OAFs, etc.)
- Production, Revenue and Royalty accounting duties and projects as required – including holiday
coverage - Reconciliation of revenue receivable accounts and ensure that all 3rd party revenue is properly
recorded - Recording of cost allocations to wells for trucking and other charges
- Maintain complete auditable monthly files and backups
- Communicate with field and measurement staff, regulators and partners
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of experience in Production Accounting
- Previous experience with Metrix, Qbyte FM, CS Land, Petrinex, and Energy Link would be an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Post secondary education related to accounting or finance and/or CAPPA designation would be
preferred - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Excel advanced functions would be
an asset
