Position Summary We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager for our Electrical Major Projects division. POSITION DETAILS

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Utilize project management software and digital tools to track schedules, costs, and overall project performance.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and client expectations across all project sites.
- Maintain clear, concise, and timely project reporting and communication.
- Review and manage contractual obligations to ensure full understanding and effective execution.
- Oversee subcontractors, ensuring work aligns with project specifications and quality standards.
- Interpret and manage project scope, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure seamless execution.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
- Ensure strict adherence to Lockout Procedures and workplace safety protocols.
- Represent the company in client meetings, ensuring effective collaboration.
- Conduct daily site reviews with the Site Superintendent to assess progress, safety, quality, and address any concerns.
- Oversee proper execution of Project Kickoff and Closeout documentation.
- Collaborate with the corporate estimating team before project initiation to fully understand the project scope, estimate, and contract details.
- Lead, mentor, and support project teams to ensure success in safety (HSE), productivity, quality, scheduling, and financial performance.
- Manage procurement, logistics, and material coordination to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian building codes, electrical codes, and regulatory standards.
- Implement cost control strategies to align expenditures with project budgets.
- Work closely with regulatory agencies to obtain permits, schedule inspections, and maintain compliance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and community representatives.
- Promote environmental sustainability and industry best practices in all project phases.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian labor laws, and workplace safety regulations.
- Provide input on workforce planning and recruitment to ensure the availability of skilled labor for project success.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in a Project Management position.
- Extensive knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation Construction methodologies.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in contract law, project estimating, work breakdown structures (WBS), scheduling, cost control, invoicing, change management, and risk management.
- Comprehensive understanding of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) legislation and workplace safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing project demands.
- Ability to perform effectively under high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Familiarity with project scheduling software such as Primavera P6.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all project aspects.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented work environment.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Test.
- Possess a valid Journeyperson certificate issued by the appropriate provincial or federal authority.
- Industrial/energy industry experience is an asset.
