Our client, a major oil and gas company, is seeking a full-time Expeditor. This contract position will be Calgary based with occasion travel required.
Position Requirements:
- 5 years+ experience in an Expediting or Procurement role (preference given to oil and gas experience; buying experience an asset)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to travel as required to various supplier locations
- complete and submit expediting shop visit reports
- Closely interface with various departments including: procurement, materials, logistics, site materials and receiving, engineering, document control and quality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, problem solving and decision making abilities,
- Time management skills
- Understanding of suppliers processes from receipt of order, order entry/effective start date, supplier/fabrication schedules, order closeout
- Superior knowledge of Excel tables for reporting
