Instrumentation Tech / Field Measurement Coordinator – Fort St John, BC

Duties include, but are not limited to:
 

• Collaborate with Operations to evaluate, troubleshoot, and mitigate measurement challenges.
• Provide and maintain measurement schematics for operations and production accounting
• Provide measurement training to Operations and upskill the technical teams
• Collaborate with Planners, Schedulers, Operations, and Remote Operations Centre staff to optimize measurement tasks and workflows
• Effectively manage the LGR (effluent) well testing and sampling programs.
• Manage regulatory compliance by ensuring testing procedures follow guidelines
• Review post-commissioning of new wellsite facilities for measurement accuracy

Requirements include:
 

• 5-10 years’ experience as a Journeyman Instrumentation technician
• Field Operations experience is an asset
• An understanding of flow measuring equipment in liquid or gas mediums
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Competent with Microsoft Suite; use of Bluebeam is an asset
• Good understanding of field data capture systems (ie. PVR)

A major oil and gas producer is looking for a Field Measurement Coordinator for their Fort St John location. The successful candidate will provide technical support and input into the design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of measurement systems. The position will require periodic field-site visits.
