i3 is looking for a permanent, full-time Health and Safety Advisor to join its Calgary head office team.
Emergency Management Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain corporate ERP and site specific ERPs on a year over year basis
– Incorporate regulatory changes
– Ensure government agencies, local services are consulted and information is current
– Update site specific phone list on a quarterly basis - Plan and deliver regulated emergency response tabletop and full scale exercises
including the submission of the report and any action items or further training requirements identified and closed - Develop and deliver emergency response roles and responsibility training
- Coordinate and/or front the Public Involvement Program
– Liaise and consult with residents inside the planning and response zones to gather / confirm resident information - Verify the information is accurate in the emergency planning zone in site specific ERPs
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
- HSE Management System (HSMS) Development
– build HSMS reference guide to summarize and support critical information and operations
– continuous gap analysis recommendations for additions and revisions to improve the HSMS based on the Energy Safety Canada (ESC), Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) COR Protocol, and relevant Provincial OHS requirements.
– amend and update policies, codes of practice, safe work practices and forms
- Develop and deliver training courses on various aspects of the HSMS across the organization
- Track, investigate, classify, review and close all incidents, near misses and hazard IDs
- Conduct operational/facility and drilling/completions HSE assessments, inspections and audits and prepare reports outlining the findings
– Continually refine hazard assessments to specifically address different types of hazards i.e. project assessments, positional assessments, task assessments - Develop and lead monthly safety meetings at various field locations in collaboration with the Production and Operations team
- Distribution of pertinent Safety Alerts, Bulletins and/or Infographics from industry sources
- Develop HSE Orientation program and complete new hire orientations, including Wellsite/
Worksite Supervisors - Contractor Management using ComplyWorks to track the contractors’ related insurance, safety and WCB requirements
- Tracking and retention of all pertinent safety training requirements and notification when HSE training is about to expire.
- Development of a suite of competencies for all relevant positions, and establishment of a process to ensure competencies are being assessed
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly HSE progress reports tracking key KPIs to foster an environment of continuous improvement.
