We are looking to hire Journeyperson Instrumentation Technicians to join our Electrical and Instrumentation Team, based out of Calgary, Fort Saskatchewan, Bonnyville, or Saskatoon. Positions are both local and loa based work and shifts will vary depending on the project. The ideal candidate is experienced in the construction and energy industry and is willing to learn and grow within our team! POSITION SUMMARY Journeyperson Instrumentation Technicians possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. - This position is open to both employee and ISP/DSP workers
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Must possess a valid Journeyperson or Red Seal Instrumentation & Control Technician
- Read and Interpret Instrument drawings & P&ID’s
- Successful completion of the Swagelok Installation course
- Extensive experience in the construction, repair, and alteration of instrument tubing
- Extensive experience in the installation of instrument devices
- Experience with ABSA pressure testing standards
- Experience with calibration and commission of a wide variety of instrument devices.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
- Valid Driver’s License
- Self-sufficient worker who can work alone or in team settings
CORE RESPONSIBLITIES
- Work with a variety of pneumatic and electronic instruments to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, level, composition.
- Test accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gages, temperature indicators, controllers, and other recording, indicating, or controlling instruments.
- Calibrate, repair, maintain and adjust system components, and install and maintain instruments on new or existing equipment.
- Prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits and systems.
- Assist in estimating as required.
