POSITION SUMMARY Strike is looking for skilled and safety-focused Millwrights to join our construction team in the oil and gas industry. The Millwright will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and heavy machinery used in oilfield construction projects, including compressor stations, pump stations, and process facilities. This position requires precision, technical expertise, and adherence to strict safety and environmental standards. Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness. - July 2 start date
- 2-3 month project duration
- Work is local to the Cold Lake/Bonnyville area
- Preference will be given to local candidates
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute mechanical installations

Install, align, and level rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, turbines, and motors

Assemble and install piping systems, valves, and other related mechanical components

Perform precision rigging, hoisting, and placement of heavy mechanical equipment

Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure operational reliability

Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and measuring instruments with high accuracy

Work closely with engineers, welders, and other trades to ensure project timelines and specifications are met

Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and PPE requirements

Document work performed and maintain detailed service and inspection records

Support commissioning and start-up activities as required
QUALIFICATIONS Education
- Must possess a valid Journeyperson certificate from the appropriate provincial or federal authority
Training
- Must have valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Fall Protection, and EWP tickets
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Able to interpret Acorn drawings
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors
