POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a Junior Electrical Project Coordinator to support our project team on industrial electrical construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who is sharp, organized, and eager to grow within the construction industry. You will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and field crews to keep daily project activities on track and organized. POSITION DETAILS: Location: Mount Bracey (northern BC); Calgary, AB CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepare and maintain Field Installation Work Packages (FIWPs) for field crews
- Coordinate crew travel plans and camp accommodations
- Support daily project administration and documentation
- Book and track required safety training and certifications
- Perform data tracking and logging
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new crew members
- Assist with vehicle assignment, tracking, and maintenance coordination
- Organize project materials, documentation, and schedules
- Provide general support for day-to-day construction activities
- Liaise with site teams to ensure accurate and timely communication
- Support project manager and superintendent with project performance tracking (cost, schedule, administration, time entry)
- Assist with construction coordination, planning, risk identification, and resolution of technical issues
- Perform quantity takeoffs and surveys for contract progress and reporting
- Identify and help resolve field-level technical issues
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education
- Electrical Trade Certificate or Technical Diploma in engineering or construction management
Experience
- 5+ years of construction industry experience
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
- Willing to travel and work at remote project sites while based out of Calgary between projects
- Industrial Journeyperson Electrician certification preferred
- Prior industrial construction field experience is an asset
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint/Teams)
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, materials, quality processes, safety requirements, sequencing, and applicable codes
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to propose practical solutions
- Ability to assist with scheduling and administration of subcontracts/contract documents
- Strong stakeholder relationship-building skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable adopting new technologies
