POSITION SUMMARY Laborers required to assist skilled trades people and perform labor activities at our Grande Prairie fabrication shop. Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness. - Candidates must be local to the Grande Prairie area
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Identify and report hazards or unsafe work practices.
- Assist with installation, testing and rigging of pipe spools and materials
- Clean construction work areas and fuel equipment as needed.
- Zoom boom and skid steer experience an asset
- Perform other activities as directed
- Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them
- Return tools back to the proper area after the job is complete or at the end of the shift
- Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks
QUALIFICATIONS Education
- Equipment operating experience is an asset but is not required
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors
