Local Plant Operator (7/7) – Valleyview, Alberta

A major oil and gas company is looking for a Plant Operator local to the Valleyview area for a 7/7 shift schedule. There are two openings available; an entry level role and a more experience role (5+ year’s in a sour gas plant). Candidates must be local to the Valleyview area as no camp or accommodations are provided.

Other Requirements and Experience Include:

• Power Engineering certification is an asset
• Mechanical aptitude is an asset
• Instrumentation experience is an asset
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Current safety tickets (Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, at a minimum)
• Computer literate in general with focus on volume reporting, Excel, Microsoft Word
• Must be a team player with strong leadership and communication skills
• Must be self – motivated, open-minded and results oriented individual.
• Must have a strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
• Must be able to troubleshoot while under pressure and handle critical issues as they arise.
• Capable of passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
