Joint Venture Representative/Analyst

We are currently seeking a Joint Venture Representative/Analyst. This is a full time contract position with potential to convert to permanent. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, advice, assistance and facilitation in the areas of joint venture contract negotiations, terms and content, and generation of contract documents.                                                   

Responsibilities:

• Negotiating, drafting, formalizing, and monitoring the status of Joint Venture Agreements (including CO&O, Unit & Unit Operating, Contract Operating, Processing & Handling)
• Negotiating third party fees and partner business terms for facilities
• Ensuring companies’ Joint Venture agreements conform to current industry standards and incorporate legal, accounting, and technical requirements to ensure that the interests of the company are protected
• Reviewing non-operated agreements and making recommendations for preferred terms
• Ensure amendments, fees, exhibit revisions, changes in parties or interest are updated accurately and concisely and billing information is provided to accounting
• Monitor the terms stated within Joint Venture related agreements for specific deadlines, budget requirements, capacity commitments, fee review, 13th month adjustments
• Actively resolve disputes with partners related to JV Agreements
• Act as the point of contact for joint venture agreement queries from Production, Operations, Land, Accounting, external stakeholders, etc.
• Managing the joint-venture properties including the evaluation of mail ballot proposals and obtaining management approval of AFE’s
• Prepare and/or administer all Operated and Non-Operated Mail Ballots and AFEs 
• Conduct fee and/or area reviews to assist in asset utilization and cost optimization initiatives

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10+ years of JV related experience in the handling of oil and gas agreements
• Demonstrates initiative, innovation, teamwork as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail
• Analytical with the capacity to pursue resolving issues independently
• Effective follow-up and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• General understanding of joint venture accounting, production accounting, production operations and petroleum land concepts and issues
• Petroleum Joint Venture Association (PJVA) agreement courses and seminars or equivalent
• Proficient in CS Explorer, Excel/Word/Outlook, Enerlink, GeoScout, AFE Navigator
