Marketing Accountant

We are currently accepting applications for the following position: Marketing Accountant

Reporting to the Interim CEO, the Marketing Accountant will be responsible for:

• Providing support, managing spreadsheets, allocating/analyzing values with respect to gas pools for Production Accounting (involves vol splits, pricing netbacks, invoices, purchaser statements, TC Energy demand and commodity transportation netbacks, gas balances, inventory valuations).
• Managing accrual spreadsheets involving future-month budgeting reports which includes vols, revenue and price netbacks/differentials for oil, gas, and NGLs.
• Creating and managing gas invoices for monthly sales, purchases, and transportation.
• Managing spreadsheets for the accounting of long-term firm transport commitments.
• Monitoring monthly oil hedges and providing yearly summaries to ensure vol and price accuracies.
• Arranging invoices and ensuring accuracy of oil pipeline tolls and equalization costs.
• Analyzing and cross-referencing trucking spreadsheets for the allocation of vols and fees.
• Providing revenue summaries to accounting/finance for the cross-referencing of cash receipts.
• Booking of monthly marketing vouchers into the financial system.
• Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a related role
• An undergraduate degree focused on Finance is preferred
• Exceptional analytical skills combined with advanced knowledge of commodity pricing
• Outstanding relationship building capability and a collaborative working style
• Strong team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent computer skills and strong experience working with Excel and Petrotranz

This is a full-time contract position to start with the potential to covert to permanent full-time.
