PARTS PERSON – HINTON (HNT)
The Parts Person is responsible for shipping and receiving duties as well as maintaining parts inventory for the Maintenance Facility.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
- Maintain parts inventory for oilfield heavy equipment, trucks, and various other vehicles
- Ship, receive, and order parts as required by maintenance and operations
- Manage and process inventory transactions and purchases for the base
- Aid in the training and development of new employees
- Process paperwork in a timely manner
- Issue purchase order numbers for purchased stock
Experience & Skills:
- Journeyman or Apprentice Parts Technician status is an asset
- Previous experience in the Parts field is required
- Valid Class 5 license is required
- Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
- High school diploma is an asset
- Inventory/procurement management systems experience is an asset
- Experience using a Forklift is an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Some knowledge of the Canadian Vehicle Standards Association/safety profile program

Working Conditions:
- 8 days on 6 days off schedule
- Heavy lifting is required; must be physically fit
- Must live near base of employment
