SERVICE DESK ANALYST (6 MONTH CONTRACT) – CALGARY (CAT)
In your role as a Service Desk Analyst, you will provide technical assistance for employees in both the regional office and district bases.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Trican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priority in all activities
- Assist all employees requiring IT assistance as first point of contact
- Setup and maintain employee network accounts
- Setup and configure new personal computers such as desktops and notebooks
- Decommission computer assets at the end of their lifecycle
- Perform standard maintenance on systems
- Address daily technical support issues that arise with employees at local, home, office and regional base sites
- Participate in an on call weekly rotation for support problems that may arise after office hours
- Coordinate all local support issues
- Ship and receive computer equipment while ensuring all inventory is in the asset database
Experience & Skills:
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
- Minimum two years experience in desktop support is preferred
- Proven customer focus with excellent interpersonal skills
- Sound analytical and interpretational skills
- Skilled in applying problem-solving techniques
- Skilled in verbal and written communication
- Ability to prioritize multiple activities with tight deadlines
- Ability to work at a fast pace and produce quality work
- Ability to be organized and follow a systematic method of performing a task
- Proficient with Microsoft Office desktop applications, Microsoft Operating Systems
