SERVICE DESK ANALYST – CALGARY (CAT)

In your role as a Service Desk Analyst, you will provide technical assistance for employees in both the Calgary Head Office and district bases.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priority in all activities
  • Assist all employees requiring IT assistance as first point of contact
  • Setup and maintain employee network accounts
  • Setup and configure new personal computers such as desktops and notebooks
  • Decommission computer assets at the end of their lifecycle
  • Perform standard maintenance on systems
  • Address daily technical support issues that arise with employees at local, home, office and regional base sites
  • Participate in an on call weekly rotation for support problems that may arise after office hours
  • Coordinate all local support issues
  • Ship and receive computer equipment while ensuring all inventory is in the asset database

Experience & Skills:

  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum two years experience in desktop support is preferred
  • Proven customer focus with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Sound analytical and interpretational skills
  • Skilled in applying problem-solving techniques
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and produce quality work
  • Ability to be organized and follow a systematic method of performing a task
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office desktop applications, Microsoft Operating Systems
