Teine is currently seeking an Optimization Engineer to become a key part of our dynamic team. This role will provide technical expertise to optimize production operations, enhance well performance, and identify opportunities for process improvements. A key focus will be on production optimization, leveraging data analysis and innovative solutions to maximize efficiency and output. As a key contributor, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute production strategies, evaluate economic opportunities, and support decision-making to drive sustainable growth and maximize asset value.
Responsibilities:
- Support base production by working with Operations and Field Engineers to identify focus wells, implement performance improvements, and optimize gathering systems and facilities.
- Collaborate on performance improvements and de-bottlenecking initiatives, driving projects through field team involvement and monitoring results.
- Provide support to the Facility Engineering team with project justifications, including economic evaluations for operational cost savings and production enhancements.
- Monitor and optimize key equipment like combustors, beam compressors, PJs, and separators, ensuring optimal performance through recycle programs and downhole optimization.
- Build detailed production forecasts and conduct economic evaluations, leveraging tools like ValNav for robust facility and equipment planning.
- Conduct post-project reviews on capital-funded initiatives, including facility upgrades and well projects, and ensure compliance with venting and gas testing requirements.
- Collaborate with data science engineers to leverage production reports, uncovering further optimization opportunities across wells and equipment.
- Monitor well performance and optimize artificial lift systems and downhole wellbore configurations, including tubing, pumps, and rods.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university, with minimum 5+ years’ oil and gas experience.
- Candidates with 7+ years of experience, a post-secondary degree or diploma from a recognized Technologist program, with prior field operations experience will be considered.
- Strategic and results-driven professional with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced settings, maintaining focus and adaptability.
- Strong analytical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, GeoScout, and ValNav is highly preferred.
