Western Field Services, a division of Western Energy Services Corp.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for planning, executing, and coordinating rig repair, upgrades and new equipment integration within budget, and in accordance to specifications. To achieve these goals, the Project Coordinator will define project requirements and scope and acquire project resources. Efficient delivery of project deliverables, effective quality control, and clear communication of expectations to stakeholders and upward reporting to senior management are critical tasks that must be performed throughout the lifecycle of each project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate rig upgrades and new equipment integration
- Assist Project Manager in ensuring project objectives are met on time and to specified cost and quality
- Manage activities throughout project lifecycle, including allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation and other factors necessary for success
- Plan project timelines, milestones, deliverables
- Establish and deliver mechanisms for tracking project progress and reporting to stakeholders on a regular basis
- Conduct stakeholder meetings to solicit feedback, input and expectations; incorporate these into project plans
- Produce regular reports on the progress of projects; deliver these reports during regular stakeholder meetings
- Track project costs to ensure completion within budget
- Manage project discrepancies
- Ensure open communication between the Company and its vendors
- Conduct project post mortems in order to identify areas for improvement, make recommendations based on findings
- Other duties as assigned
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum 5 years experience in oil and gas construction
- Mechanic and construction blue print experience is required
- Welding, electrical, or mechanical knowledge is preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Demonstrated success in project delivery
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Able to efficiently communicate both verbally and in writing
- Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
- Able to work out of town or country if needed based on project demand
