Contract Industrial Mechanic

Position: Contract Industrial Mechanic

Teine Energy Ltd has an immediate position opening for a full time Industrial Mechanic for the Kindersley Area. The successful applicant will report directly to the Maintenance Foreman.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform small engine repairs and servicing (ranging from small water pumps and Honda engines up to GM 8.1L engines).
  • Conduct pump jack inspections and repairs (must be comfortable climbing and working at heights).
  • Complete all types of pump repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform air compressor repairs and servicing.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops, including parts inventory management.
  • Track and report monthly costs for parts and supplies.
  • Complete required computer-based tasks, including safety training, daily work orders, email communication, and maintenance system updates.
  • Assist with gas compression service and repairs as required
     

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Hourly contract position.
  • Company must be Incorporated.
  • 8 days on, 6 days off (Minimum 10 hours/day).
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance and mechanical experience required.
  • Journeyman certification in Heavy Duty, Gas Compression, or Automotive is considered an asset. Pump maintenance and overhaul experience is also an asset.
  • Basic computer proficiency required, including a solid understanding of MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Must supply own truck, tools, generator or inverter, air compressor, cell phone with reliable data plan, and laptop.
  • Valid and current H2S, First Aid/CPR, and Fall Protection certifications are required prior to start date

CEMENT OPERATOR – ESTEVAN (EST)

The Cement Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
  • Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
  • Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between locations safely and efficiently while under qualified supervision
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections by accurately completing corresponding driver log forms while remaining in accordance with Trican inspection procedures
  • Keep unit binders up to date including all permits, government regulatory paperwork, iron inspections, and maintenance documentation
  • Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment
  • Rig-out of all equipment for travel and conduct movement to following site
  • Perform maintenance operations to pumping units and auxiliary equipment

Experience & Skills:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s licence required
  • High school diploma is an asset
  • Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
  • Physically fit – heavy lifting required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills
  • Skilled in problem-solving techniques

      Teine has an immediate opening for a Contract Maintenance Coordinator in the Coleville, SK area, reporting to the area Foreman.

      Responsibilities:

      • Coordinate and schedule day-to-day field maintenance activities for wells, facilities, and associated infrastructure.
      • Plan, prioritize, and track preventive and corrective maintenance work to support safe and efficient operations.
      • Interface with field operations, service providers, and vendors to ensure timely execution of maintenance activities.
      • Prepare, manage, and close out work orders, maintenance schedules, and job plans.
      • Ensure maintenance work is completed in compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and regulatory obligations.
      • Coordinate materials, equipment, and services required to execute maintenance work.
      • Monitor maintenance activity progress and communicate status, issues, and risks to the Area Foreman.
      • Support cost control by tracking maintenance-related expenditures and contractor time.
      • Provide coordination support during unplanned maintenance events and operational upsets as require

       

      Required Qualifications & Skills:

      • Contract-based role; contractor must be incorporated.
      • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance coordination/planning role and/or 5 years of oilfield
      • or maintenance-related experience.
      • Proficient in basic MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
      • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
      • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

      Teine has an immediate opening for a part‐time Relief Contract Operator in the Hoosier area, reporting to the area Foreman.

      Responsibilities:

      • Safely manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of oil and gas wells, pumpjacks, compression, and waterflood.
      • Support the daily execution of the business plan—including production targets, HSE compliance, OPEX management, and reliability—by identifying opportunities to maximize production, reduce operating costs, and minimize downtime.
      • Perform equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
      • Conduct routine housekeeping, performance monitoring, and general maintenance activities.
      • Provide operating coverage as required.

       

      Required Qualifications & Skills:

      • This is a contract-based position.
      • Schedule will fluctuate based on operational and coverage needs.
      • Minimum of 5 years of operating experience. A Petroleum Engineering Technologist diploma or other relevant technical training will also be considered.
      • Proficient with basic MS Office applications.
      • Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and be able to provide a clean driver’s abstract.
      • Contractors must be incorporated.
      • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

As the Lead Operator, you will play an essential role in maintaining safety and efficiency while upholding proper procedures and processes. Your responsibility will encompass overseeing day-to-day operation activity.

      Responsibilities:

      • Foster a healthy, safe, and positive work environment.
      • Optimize well production and facility throughput.
      • Ensure efficient cost control while adhering to the annual budget.
      • Manage resources, scheduling, prioritization, and coordination.

      • Communicate operational activities and business initiatives effectively.

      • Lead change and the implementation of new technologies.

       

      Required Qualifications and Skills:

      • The candidate must be able to demonstrate significate operational competency for oil and gas.
      • Proficiency in basic computer skills
      • Possession of a valid drivers’ license.
      • Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills abilities for day-to-day and special projects.
      • Valid certifications: H2S, First aid/CPR ticket, Ground Disturbance Level 2, Confined Space Level 2.
      • Petroleum Engineer or Petroleum Engineering Technologist will be given consideration.
