QA/QC Lead – Electrical

June 20, 2025

Position Summary Our Electrical and Instrumentation team is looking for qualified QA/QC candidates for work on a Cenovus site in the Edmonton/ Fort Saskatchewan area.   POSITION DETAILS

  • Work on multiple projects available, including Enbridge in SE Saskatchewan and Manitoba and K+S Potash
  • 10/4 rotation for Enbridge, 5/2 for K+S

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience
  • Must be proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office suite
  • CWB Level 1 is an asset
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Strong communicator (Both written and verbal)
  • Able to follow Inspection and Test Plans and perform a variety of inspections outlined in the ITP
  • Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Ensures installations are compliant with applicable Codes/Standards
  • Practical knowledge of metering and test equipment
  • Ability to perform electrical inspections and tests.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Bluebeam Experience an asset.
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations on shift rotation.
  • Document retention.
  • Completion of Project Turnover to Clients
  • Verify that all site activities comply with the quality codes and standards.
  • Distribute quality control documentation to site sub-contractors.
  • Provide appropriate feedback to management regarding QA/QC matters.
  • Perform pre-inspections and assist with material receiving processes to ensure that all fabricated and installed materials conform with the applicable standards, drawings, and specifications.
  • Continually monitor work in progress via the QC audit process.

Electrical Superintendent

Position Summary We are seeking an Electrical Superintendent to join our E&I team for TC Energy projects across Alberta and British Columbia.   POSITION DETAILS

  • Work on multiple projects available, including Enbridge in SE Saskatchewan and Manitoba and K+S Potash

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Update project control templates for cost and schedule reporting.
  • Manage Subcontractors.
  • Install, alter, repair, maintain various electrical systems and related equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical code specifications.
  • Plan layout and illustration of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Supervise field teams.
  • Monitors and enforces safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor field progress and report to the Site Supervisor or Construction Manager.
  • Plan work fronts and create lookahead schedules.
  • Lead a crew of 10-25+ workers.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Test.
  • Possess a valid Journeyperson certificate issued by the appropriate provincial or federal authority.
  • Must be willing to travel to work sites.
  • Industrial/energy industry experience is a requirement.

Journeyperson Electrician

POSITION SUMMARY Journeyperson Electricians possess the full range of knowledge required to install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including climate control, security, lighting, power sources and communications. With shops in Calgary, Fort Saskatchewan, Bonnyville, and Saskatoon, the E&I team works on local projects as well as site projects located throughout Western Canada.   Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness.   Immigration sponsorship is not available   POSITION DETAILS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a valid Journeyperson or Red Seal Electrician certificate

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layouts of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
  • Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors
  • Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
  • May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices

CEMENT OPERATOR – ESTEVAN (EST)

The Cement Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections by accurately completing corresponding driver log forms while remaining in accordance with Trican inspection procedures
  • Keep unit binders up to date including all permits, government regulatory paperwork, iron inspections, and maintenance documentation
  • Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment
  • Rig-out of all equipment for travel and conduct movement to following site
  • Perform maintenance operations to pumping units and auxiliary equipment

Experience & Skills:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s licence required
  • High school diploma is an asset
  • Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
  • Physically fit – heavy lifting required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills
  • Skilled in problem-solving techniques
