CEMENT OPERATOR – ESTEVAN (EST)

The Cement Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
  • Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
  • Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between locations safely and efficiently while under qualified supervision
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections by accurately completing corresponding driver log forms while remaining in accordance with Trican inspection procedures
  • Keep unit binders up to date including all permits, government regulatory paperwork, iron inspections, and maintenance documentation
  • Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment
  • Rig-out of all equipment for travel and conduct movement to following site
  • Perform maintenance operations to pumping units and auxiliary equipment

Experience & Skills:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s licence required
  • High school diploma is an asset
  • Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
  • Physically fit – heavy lifting required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills
  • Skilled in problem-solving techniques

      QA/QC Lead

      Position Summary Our Electrical and Instrumentation team is looking for a qualified QA/QC candidate to join our team in Saskatoon.   POSITION DETAILS

      • Candidates must be local to Saskatoon

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • Must have at least 3 years of experience
      • Must be proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office suite
      • CWB Level 1 is an asset
      • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

      CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES 

      • Strong communicator (Both written and verbal)
      • Able to follow Inspection and Test Plans and perform a variety of inspections outlined in the ITP
      • Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
      • Ensures installations are compliant with applicable Codes/Standards
      • Practical knowledge of metering and test equipment
      • Ability to perform electrical inspections and tests.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office
      • Bluebeam Experience an asset.
      • Willingness to travel to remote locations on shift rotation.
      • Document retention.
      • Completion of Project Turnover to Clients
      • Verify that all site activities comply with the quality codes and standards.
      • Distribute quality control documentation to site sub-contractors.
      • Provide appropriate feedback to management regarding QA/QC matters.
      • Perform pre-inspections and assist with material receiving processes to ensure that all fabricated and installed materials conform with the applicable standards, drawings, and specifications.
      • Continually monitor work in progress via the QC audit process.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      Construction Superintendent

      POSITION SUMMARY The Construction Superintendent will manage and control assigned projects, including overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and trade contractor and supplier coordination and work in conjunction with the Project Manager leading the project team.  They provide technical management and project leadership on construction projects at the field level. Responsibilities include; directing the day to day activities onsite; planning crew activities in the short and long turn; resolving field construction issues; field level client relations; maintaining Strike’s high standard of safety and quality; managing small-to medium-sized projects or directing one portion of a major project, and overseeing proper protocols in the field.   POSITION LOCATION/ DETAILS

      • Experience working in civil construction and concrete
      • Experience leading crews of 10 or more team members

      Journeyperson Industrial Electrician

      POSITION SUMMARY Journeyperson Industrial Electricians possess the full range of knowledge required to install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including climate control, security, lighting, power sources and communications.       • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
      • Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors
      • Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
      • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices
      • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
      • May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices
