CEMENT OPERATOR – ESTEVAN (EST)

The Cement Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
  • Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
  • Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between locations safely and efficiently while under qualified supervision
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections by accurately completing corresponding driver log forms while remaining in accordance with Trican inspection procedures
  • Keep unit binders up to date including all permits, government regulatory paperwork, iron inspections, and maintenance documentation
  • Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment
  • Rig-out of all equipment for travel and conduct movement to following site
  • Perform maintenance operations to pumping units and auxiliary equipment

Experience & Skills:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s licence required
  • High school diploma is an asset
  • Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
  • Physically fit – heavy lifting required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills
  • Skilled in problem-solving techniques

      Teine has an immediate opening for a part‐time Relief Contract Operator in the Hoosier area, reporting to the area Foreman.

      Responsibilities:

      • Safely manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of oil and gas wells, pumpjacks, compression, and waterflood.
      • Support the daily execution of the business plan—including production targets, HSE compliance, OPEX management, and reliability—by identifying opportunities to maximize production, reduce operating costs, and minimize downtime.
      • Perform equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
      • Conduct routine housekeeping, performance monitoring, and general maintenance activities.
      • Provide operating coverage as required.

       

      Required Qualifications & Skills:

      • This is a contract-based position.
      • Schedule will fluctuate based on operational and coverage needs.
      • Minimum of 5 years of operating experience. A Petroleum Engineering Technologist diploma or other relevant technical training will also be considered.
      • Proficient with basic MS Office applications.
      • Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and be able to provide a clean driver’s abstract.
      • Contractors must be incorporated.
      • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
      • Valid H2S and First Aid/CPR certifications.

      Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician

      POSITION SUMMARY Journeyperson Instrumentation Technicians are integral support members of the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Team. The E&I team works on local projects as well as site projects located in Western Canada.   Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness.   CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

      • Work with a variety of pneumatic and electronic instruments to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, level, composition.
      • Test accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gages, temperature indicators, controllers, and other recording, indicating, or controlling instruments.
      • Calibrate, repair, maintain and adjust system components, and install and maintain instruments on new or existing equipment.
      • Prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits and systems.
      • Assist in estimating as required.

      QUALIFICATIONS Education

      • Must possess a valid Journeyperson certificate issued by the appropriate provincial or federal authority
      • Must be willing to be indentured as an Apprentice Electrician
      • Must have successfully completed the Swagelok Installation training course

      Experience

      • Tubing experience and knowledge is required
      • Strong commissioning skills and experience would be an asset
      • Extensive experience in the construction, repair, and alteration of instrument tubing in accordance with ABSA standards

      SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

      • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
      • Must be willing to travel to work sites
      • Must possess a valid Driver’s License

      Required Qualifications and Skills:

      • The candidate must be able to demonstrate significate operational competency for oil and gas.
      • Proficiency in basic computer skills
      • Possession of a valid drivers’ license.
      • Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills abilities for day-to-day and special projects.
      • Valid certifications: H2S, First aid/CPR ticket, Ground Disturbance Level 2, Confined Space Level 2.
      • Petroleum Engineer or Petroleum Engineering Technologist will be given consideration.

      Project Coordinator

      POSITION SUMMARY Strike’s Project Coordinators provide technical and administrative support to the Construction Management team. The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing cost activities, subcontractor alignment and estimating construction projects of all sizes. The Project Coordinator analyzes, and forecasts project costs and provides detailed project information related to contractual schedule, scope and cost, recommending improvements or corrective actions for the project. The Project Coordinator also assists with identifying and the development of change orders.   CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES 

      • Assist project manager and superintendent with project performance (cost, schedule, administration, time entry).
      • Support construction coordination, planning, risk identification, and resolution of technical issues.
      • Perform quantity takeoffs and surveys for contract progress and reporting.
      • Maintain trade partner relationships by issuing tender packages, defining scopes, answering inquiries, and monitoring progress.
      • Assist with change management, including pricing, processing, and assessing cost/schedule impacts.
      • Administer requests for information, shop drawings, and submittal processes.
      • Support project closeout, including document archiving, maintenance, and warranty.
      • Identify and resolve field technical issues.

      QUALIFICATIONS Education

      • Applicable Trade Certificate or Technical Diploma in engineering or construction management

      Experience

      • 3-5 years of construction industry experience

      SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

      • Willing to travel and work at project sites across Saskatchewan.
      • Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, materials, quality, safety, sequences, and building codes.
      • Ability to apply problem-solving principles to construction challenges and propose solutions.
      • Capable of creating schedules and administering subcontracts/contract documents.
      • Skilled in building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
      • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with aptitude for new technology.
