Program Overview

HSE Administrator

Position Summary: The HSE Administrator provides administrative support to the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team. This role ensures proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with safety regulations across the organization. The HSE Administrator plays a key role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of company safety programs and standards.   Position Details

  • Based out of our Red Deer office
  • This is an hourly position working approximately 8 hours per day, 5 days per week

Core Accountabilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HSE department, including document control, data entry, and report preparation.
  • Assist with incident and near-miss reporting, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Maintain and update safety records, certifications, training logs, and compliance documents.
  • Coordinate safety meetings, orientations, and training sessions for employees and contractors.
  • Track and report on safety metrics and trends, including leading and lagging indicators.
  • Support internal and external safety audits and inspections.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of HSE communications, bulletins, and safety alerts. 
  • Ensure proper maintenance of digital and physical HSE files.
  • Respond to inquiries related to safety policies, programs, and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts in HSE processes and systems.

Qualifications Education

  • HSA designation preferred.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in an HSE or administrative support role.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with safety management software is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant OH&S legislation and practices is an asset.

Intermediate IT Support Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY The Intermediate IT Support Analyst provides technical support to users, for both hardware and software systems. This includes actively resolving escalated end-user help requests, documenting and communicating technical solutions in a user-friendly manner, and conducting end-user training when necessary.  This individual is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining all hardware inventory levels and facilitating hardware repairs where possible.   POSITION DETAILS

  • Based out of our head office in downtown Calgary.
  • Minimum of 37.5 hours per week, plus occasional overtime and/or remote support.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES Operational Support

  • Build rapport with internal customers by always being professional, courteous, and friendly in communications and interactions.
  • Guide the Junior Help Desk Analyst in performing their role, providing troubleshooting advice and procedural direction as needed.
  • Provide technical support for complex and challenging issues that require deeper knowledge and expertise.
  • Monitor and manage hardware inventory levels, ensure hardware is received and stored in an organized manner, and coordinate with managers for the timely return of unused equipment.
  • Where possible, upgrade, repair or arrange to repair returned equipment when economic.  Otherwise, coordinate e-cycling of broken or outdated electronics.
  • Provide audio-visual recommendations and support for boardroom computers and peripheral equipment as needed.
  • Travel to branch offices and provide onsite technical support, as required.

Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and maintain strong vendor and industry relationships, to arrange for purchases and facilitate returns and repairs, and to stay current with the latest technologies and trends.
  • Support the Infrastructure Administrator with assorted tasks as time permits, such as server or security status monitoring and network or infrastructure upgrades.
  • Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends to prevent recurring issues.

QUALIFICATIONS Education

  • CompTIA A+/Network+ or MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) certification is preferred.

Experience

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in a help desk or desktop support capacity, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge in iPhone troubleshooting is an asset.

Project Controls Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY The Project Controls Administrator presents a positive and professional image of Strike to all clients, suppliers, associates, callers and office visitors. Administrators maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality in all interactions.   PROJECT DETAILS

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8-hour days

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • General Administration/Communication: Represent Strike in person, on the phone and through electronic communications
  • Payroll: Create detailed on-site time tickets to be approved and signed by supervisor & client
  • Document Control: Control and distribute incoming and outgoing documentation on continual basis throughout project
  • Controls: Track and maintain progress tracking tools and curves; Establish and maintain Trend/Change order log; Verify budget revisions, trends, and change orders prior to Project Management sign off; Project reporting (tracking of baseline versus actual vs. forecast) for Management/Client review
  • Purchasing: Issue purchase orders, track incoming invoices and ensure alignment with job/project costs

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years administrative/Project Controls experience an asset
  • Experience with document control
  • Experience within the oilfield and or construction industry is considered an asset
  • Microsoft Excel experience

Journeyperson Gasfitter Class A or B

POSITION SUMMARY Strike is looking to add a ticketed Class A or B Gasfitter to our operations team in Rainbow Lake to operate a company service vehicle.   Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety”, and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect and fairness.   POSITION DETAILS

  • Shift work, 10-hour days
  • Camp accommodations or LOA will be provided
  • Preference will be given to local candidates
  • Availability for relocation preferred for non-local candidates

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Conduct Routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
  • Reading P&ID’s, surveys, GA’s and alike
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Coordinating ground disturbance
  • Vender management
  • Quality control requirements

QUALIFICATIONS Education

  • Must possess a valid journeyperson certificate of qualification issued by the appropriate provincial or federal authority  
  • Must possess valid H2S Alive, First Aid, Ground Disturbance Level 2, AWP/EWP, and Fall Protection tickets

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in installing, inspecting, and maintaining LP/NG equipment
  • Experience in residential applications, industrial experience is not mandatory but would be considered an asset

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

  • Must have a valid non-graduated driver’s license and be able to provide a clean driver abstract
  • Knowledgeable in permitting requirements
  • Must have a great ability to carry out work in a professional and respectful manner and properly communicate with customers
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and safely operate a company service vehicle
  • Must have own basic tools, hand tools, and power tools to perform job duties, company specialty tools provided when required
  • Excellent problem solving and customer service skills
  • Knowledgeable in the use of technology
