POSITION SUMMARY Apprentice Pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.   Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness.   POSITION DETAILS

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s, etc.)
• Assist journeyperson pipefitters with the installation of equipment, pipe, and structural steel on site 
• Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages
• Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging
• Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility
• Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape
• Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
• Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems

QUALIFICATIONS Education

• Must be a certified Journeyperson with the appropriate provincial or federal authority

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Comfortable working outdoors

POSITION SUMMARY   Project Controllers are responsible for the overall delivery of project controls including planning and scheduling, estimating, cost management, trend and change management, progress measurement and evaluation, reporting, and project accounting. The Project Controller will provide technical and management support to the field construction operations team for a progress monitoring tool.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Prepare complex reports in Excel for internal and external distribution
• Provide technical support for various in-house progress tracking and scheduling applications
• Provide support of the creation and maintenance of the project schedule and provides ongoing updates to project stakeholders
• Maintain and evaluate project progress including earned value management on a regular basis
• Implement the cost management process including assisting with budget and chart of account development
• Review and validate production quantity and invoices
• Assist with change management functions with creation of proposals and field
• Continuously improve project administrative processes and procedures to enhance efficiencies for the projects. Monitor procedures and practices, thinking creatively and strategically to create improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS Experience

• 2+ years of experience in Project Controls
• Experience with engineering and construction-based cost and scheduling systems (Productivity, performance measurement, progress tracking, change management, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities are required; organizational skills and attention to detail are required
• Knowledge of MS Office required; advanced level knowledge of MS Excel required
• Capable of responding to project stakeholder requests in typical situations and understands client needs and works to meet those needs by offering assistance and advice on standard practical issues

POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Receivable & Collections Administrator monitors the accounts and credit status of customers, including:

• Ensuring timely processing of incoming customer payments
• Determining customer credit worthiness
• Communicating with both customers and field offices in order to expedite payment of amounts due to Strike
• Reporting regularly on the aging status of customer accounts to corporate and field management
• Monitoring customer invoice aging and follows up regarding approvals in a timely manner and proactively looks to address invoicing issues between the customer and field offices
• Communicating issues and concerns to the appropriate level of management
• Monitoring accurate invoicing processes (as required) and maintains related records
• Acts as a point of contact for customers regarding invoicing and payments
• Creates, distributes and maintains accounts receivable and credit reports
• Issues holdback requests invoices ensuring timely completion of required documents in accordance with the contract
• Monitors customer portals (Cortex, ADP, Open Invoice, etc)
• Manages credit policy

• Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports in Microsoft Dynamics AX and CMiC, including invoice aging, credit information, and holdback records
• Prepare and distribute accounts receivable information as required as well as ad hoc reporting requirements
• Analyze financial data and make recommendations to controller regarding acceptable credit limits for new and existing customers
• Monitor lien periods and initiate lien placement as required
• Perform AR account reconciliations
• Assist with audit queries related to AR
• Participate in industry credit group
• Maintain necessary level of confidentiality regarding financial records and client information
• Communicate with clients regarding billing and collection
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and mitigate client collection issues, coordinating with internal resources as required
• Initiate credit checks for potential and new customers and perform annual review and adjust existing client credit limits
• Process cash receipts

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

• Relevant post-secondary education preferred (e.g. business administration, accounting, or commerce)

Experience

• Minimum of four years of relevant Accounts Receivable and Collections experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong Excel skills and data manipulation
• Proactive and willing to dig deeper for answers and take the hard line and ensure accountability if the circumstances dictate
• Possesses an eye for detail
• Able to multitask and operate in a dynamic environment
• Broad understanding of finance and accounting
• Strong experience with Cortex and Open Invoice/Oildex are definite assets
• Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications is required including, Microsoft Dynamics AX and CMiC
• Strong working knowledge of financial ratios and other techniques used to evaluate credit worthiness of customers is a necessity
• Capable of working independently with minimal direction
• Prior experience with a construction or oilfield services organization
