We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our Business Development Team. This position performs all related work required to manage customer accounts and relationships. The incumbent will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and will be responsible for acquiring new customers and expanding services with existing customers to grow our business and strategic customer accounts. What you will do
- Bring in opportunities with new customers/prospects/engineering firms
- Develop strategic account plans for new customers and prospects
- Uncover opportunities for master services agreements that are functional and mutually beneficial
- Promote and maintain Strike’s brand image
- Visit field offices/project sites and meet regularly with management regarding customers in their areas
- Anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of customers and stakeholders to create strong buy-in
- Build and leverage the sales funnel for business growth
- Understand customer decision criteria to generate additional sales growth
- Attend and host customer appreciation events (golf, BBQ’s, etc.)
- Attend all regular sales meetings and training sessions as required
- Meet regularly with customers to uncovering potential projects and work with management to ensure alignment
- Maintain customer relationships and implement strategies for profitable growth
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in the Customer Relationship Management System
- Work closely with the proposal and estimating teams (RFI’s, EOI’s, SOI’s, RFQ’s, RFP’s)
- Facilitate post project reviews and post bid reviews
- Conduct sales presentations that highlight key benefits, return-on-investment, and the value of Strike’s integrated service offerings
- Uncover diversification opportunities (various markets, clean energy, service offerings, etc.)
What you will bring
- Diploma or degree in marketing, business, or a technical trade certification
- Ability to close sales for strategic customers
- Capable of selling multiple product/service lines simultaneously
- Exceptional speaking skills, including experience presenting to large and diverse audiences
- Strong ability to work within cohesive teams to target clients and get the sale
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Exemplary professional verbal and written communication skills
