Maintenance Planner

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Planner to work in Calgary with our Operations team. This role will report directly to the Facilities Engineer. The Maintenance Planner’s job is to anticipate and eliminate potential delays by planning and coordinating activities on site for full equipment life cycle management. This will be accomplished by supporting the operations team by implementing and administering a comprehensive and efficient preventative maintenance program.

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Plan, schedule, and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities

·         Develop an annual schedule for production fluid analysis sampling

·         Develop an annualized schedule for meter calibration testing as per AER Directive 17

·         Work towards creating a method for compiling and controlling corporate inventory

·         Identify, analyze, and review equipment maintenance issues and provide corrective actions

·         Assist operations personnel in maintenance management (pigging schedules, oil changes, etc.)

·         Visit various field operations areas to gather data to aid project decisions

·         Provide input towards annual budget for maintenance

·         Monitor and assist with the monthly preventative and compliance checks and calibrations

Qualifications

·         3 – 5 years of predictive maintenance planning

·         Experience with rotating equipment(gas compressors/drivers, reciprocating pumps, etc.) and instrumentation

·         Previous experience in investigating equipment failures and root cause analysis would be a benefit

·         Successful candidate must be able to work independently within a team environment

·         Proven and demonstrated commitment to HSE and regulatory expectations/requirements

·         Organized and motivated individual who is ready to work in a fast paced environment and take on new challenges

·         Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, familiarity with excel an asset

Who are you?
A highly motivated Facilities Technician/Administrator with 5+ years of experience looking to join our Facilities team, with a focus on administering project data systems, purchase orders, document control, project invoicing, project tracking and project cost control. You thrive to be effective and efficient while assisting the Facilities Engineer(s) and the Senior Facilities Engineer. You enjoy working within a multi-disciplinary team that includes the field operations leaders and operators, accounting and management. Your positive attitude will be key in order to foster an upbeat and driven work environment.

You are seeking a full-time office position based in downtown Calgary, Alberta and you are comfortable traveling to field operations located from Grande Prairie to Calgary, as required.

What will you do?

  • Promote a positive image of ORLEN through your work with industry, regulatory and public partners
  • Provide day-to day support for Facilities Engineers and Facility Construction Supervisors
  • Liaise and work with other departments, EPC’s, vendors and others as required
  • Assist in overall project planning, tracking, document control, filing (sending/receiving drawings, creating/implementing processes, setting up/managing FTP Sites.) and cost control
  • Assist with AFE Estimation and Creation as required
  • Assist in the bidding process with in house Engineering projects
  • Generate project summaries and comparison documents when jobs are complete
  • Manage Purchase Orders for the Facilities & Construction Group, including internal creation, review of external PO’s, entry and tracking in SiteView
  • Manage Project Tracking System(s), SITEVIEW and PANDELL AFE, etc. as required. Provide training, manage data and users, and assist with program support
  • Create and manage Material Transfers for the Facilities and Construction Group
  • Liaise between Supply Chain, Facilities and Construction Group
  • Liaise with Exploitation/Production Engineer(s) to coordinate project documentation
  • Manage and approve trucking tickets for fluid handling
  • Work with Operations group in cost control for field work such as Turnarounds and maintenance projects
  • Health and Safety Administrator
  • ION (in house) task management, Management of Change (MOC) Coordinator
  • Review and manage cost efficiencies and inefficiencies
  • Communicate the importance of cost control with field staff
  • Update weekly and monthly reports to track and highlight progress of all construction projects being worked on.
  • Prepare the Facilities & Construction Group portion of the corporate quarterly board note for the Sr. facility engineer as required
  • Coordinate and implement training courses for the Facilities Team (both in the Calgary and field offices)
  • Explore and coordinate development of Field Construction Supervisor competency, including safety, tickets, and team/leadership training
  • Plan and execute all major spring and Year End Meetings

 

How will you be successful?

  • Extensive experience in Peloton SiteView
  • Pandell AFE experience would be considered a desirable asset
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • A team player and an individual who is responsive, communicative and receptive to constructive input from others

Mechanical Engineer – Grande Prairie, Alberta

Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng)

Roska DBO Inc. has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer that will work closely with our team of in-house engineers.

The successful candidate will be registered with APEGA as a P. Eng. (or EGBC or eligible for transfer) with preference given to those with 10+ years experience (7 years minimum). This is a permanent full-time position based out of our Grande Prairie, Alberta office.   • Input on Pipe Stress Analysis
  • Stamping Pipe Stress Analysis

  • Knowledge & Experience with Vessel Software (COMPRESS, PVElife)
  • Skid design for Process Equipment
  • Stamping skid designs (including lift lugs, calculations, drawing)
  • Generating & Authenticating ISOS Mechanical drawings (P&IDS)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University
  • Registered with APEGA as a P. Eng. (or another Canadian Province)
  • Preference given to candidates with 10+ years experience (7 year minimum)
  • Previous experience with Skid / Building Design; Structural / Pipe Supports Design; Pipe Stress Analysis; Caesar Software or equivalent (e.g. Autopipe)
  • Microsoft Office competence
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • Must possess a clean driver’s abstract
  • Knowledge of relevant industry codes (ASME 31.3, BPVC Section VII Div I, CSA Z662, CSA B51, etc.)

Truck Terminal Operator – Fox Creek, AB

A major oil and gas company is looking for an intermediate level Operator for their truck terminal in the Fox Creek and Whitecourt area.  This position requires a candidate local to these areas as accommodations are not provided.
This is an ongoing position, working to ensure safe and efficient daily operation of the terminal and ensure the needs of clients delivering products to the site by truck are met.

Role Responsibilities:

  • General operation of the truck terminal ensuring safe and efficient operation of the sour facility
  • Create safe work permits and perform orientations to those delivering product or servicing the offload risers and associated equipment
  • Work in conjunction with QC to ensure product deliveries to terminal and pipeline system meet specifications
  • Satisfy all regulatory reporting requirements
  • Partner with the maintenance team on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment readiness
  • Maintain field communication to efficiently manage pipeline pigging requirement
  • Foster a safe, supportive and productive work environment between yourself and all other members of the team
  • Support, promote and contribute to the continuous improvement of business operations and relationships

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years relatable plant process with strong understanding of mechanical, instrumentation and electrical systems
  • Current safety tickets (H2S, First Aid, CSO)
  • Current driver’s license and clean abstract (no GDL)
  • A disciplined work ethic and drive to take initiative
  • Problem solving skills
  • Enjoy working in both a team and individual environment

The successful candidate will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test as a condition of pre-employment.
