CEMENT COORDINATOR – RED DEER (RDC)

To assist the Cement Lead Coordinator and Service Line Manager in all job-related coordination activities within their Service Line.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priority in all activities
  • Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
  • Remain on-call for 12-hour shift, working a 15/6 rotation
  • Ensure customer needs are addressed in a timely manner, job procedures are followed, in addition to appropriate availability of product, equipment, and personnel
  • Ensure adequate communication is maintained with Engineering, Lab, and Sales
  • Maintain clear, effective daily communication with the Lead Coordinator, Cement
  • Organize and schedule personnel, resources while ensuring maximum utilization of personnel and equipment
  • Ensure all applicable paperwork is complete and submitted correctly
  • Work with Operations Lead, Cement ensuring mobile and auxiliary Cement equipment is field ready and staged where required
  • Report operational deficiencies, accidents, and recognized hazards to the Lead Coordinator, Cement 
  • Suggest improvement in working conditions, employee safety, policies, procedures, and operational practices
  • Ensure development needs of employee are identified through collaboration with Lead Coordinator, Cement, Operations Lead, Cement and Training Department

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum four years’ experience in Cement Operations
  • Valid Driver’s licence
  • High school diploma
  • Extensive technical and practical knowledge of operations, products, company policies, and government regulations
  • Strong strategic leadership and managerial skills
  • Admirable interpersonal skills conveyed in a pleasant and professional manner when interacting with employees, management, and customers
  • Sound analytical and interpretational skills

Journeyperson Electrician (Local)

POSITION SUMMARY Journeyperson Industrial Electricians possess the full range of knowledge required to install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including climate control, security, lighting, power sources and communications. POSITION OVERVIEW

Group 10 is seeking a motivated NDT Technician (UT/MT/PT) to join our operations in Lloydminster, Alberta with opportunities to support projects across Alberta. This role offers an excellent foundation for building a career in inspection, including hands-on experience and a clear pathway to achieving advanced NDT and inspection certifications such as API and National Board.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist ABSA ISI and TSASK LPEI certified inspectors with regulatory inspections.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate UT, MT, and PT equipment to ensure accurate and reliable inspection results in field conditions.
  • Perform surface and volumetric NDT inspections using ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and penetrant testing methods in accordance with approved procedures and applicable codes/standards (e.g., ASME, CSA, API).
  • Inspect welds, piping, pressure equipment, and pipelines for discontinuities and defects.
  • Interpret and evaluate inspection results against applicable acceptance criteria and clearly communicate findings.
  • Accurately complete and submit field reports, ensuring all documentation is thorough, organized, and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness in dynamic field environments, adhering to all company and client safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, operations teams, and other technicians to support efficient project execution.

 

EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE

  • Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Materials or Welding engineering is considered a strong asset.
  • Ultrasonic Testing UT 1 CGSB Certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Magnetic Particle Testing MT 2 CGSB Certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing PT 2 CGSB Certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated experience performing UT, MT, and PT inspections in field environments (oil & gas, pipeline, or industrial settings preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract and ability to travel to various job sites as required.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, CSA) and ability to interpret acceptance criteria.

 

REQUIREMENTS | SKILLS

  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-demand environments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail with solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in various environmental conditions (heights, confined spaces, outdoor weather conditions).
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to complete clear and accurate field reports.
  • Willingness and availability to support call-out work, including evenings, weekends, and short-notice assignments.

HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR – CALGARY (CAT)

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the accurate administration, maintenance, and integrity of employee data and HR documentation within the department and will also provide Executive Assistant support to the Vice President, People & Organization. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priority in all activities
  • ​​Provide Executive Assistant duties for the Vice President, People & Organization including calendar management, email support, expense reconciliation, travel bookings, administrative support
  • ​Responsible for new hire entries, displaying a strong attention to detail
  • ​Process employee changes, ensure appropriate approvals are received
  • ​Complete employee verifications, employment letters, answer ad hoc employee questions 
  • ​Responsible for job postings and recruitment coordination, including resume management and distribution, reference checks, scheduling interviews, attending job fairs as required 
  • ​Responsible for the ongoing integrity of physical employee files, ensuring they are organized and up-to-date
  • ​Prepare weekly/monthly reports using the HRMS database (Workday) for client groups including Payroll, Finance, Safety, Executives, Base Managers etc. 
  • ​Test Workday for supervisory changes, EIB loads, new releases, implementations etc.; work with IT on best practices in Workday 
  • Support Total Rewards Manager with job profile updates and entries
  • Manage HR shared inboxes, replying to emails, and actioning items in a timely manner
  • Handle all HR mail; distribute among team, send out benefits cards
  • Prepare annual Compensation Statements
  • ​Prepare exit interview reports and summarize findings to report back to the business leads and HR Business Partners 
  • ​Code, submit, and track payments of all invoices from HR, Marketing and Operational Efficiency suppliers through Oracle software
  • Administer Petro-pass program including ordering/cancelling cards, tracking agreements and monthly manual statement preparation
  • ​Administrate monthly Anniversary Card program, and assist with annual milestone Service Award program
  • ​Provide support and assistance to other HR Projects as assigned  
  • ​Provide back-up resources to the HR Business Partners

Experience & Skills:

  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related discipline
  • Two years experience in Human Resources preferred
  • Experience with Workday an asset
  • Considerable experience in Microsoft Excel an asset
  • Class 5 Driver’s license
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and able to prioritize multiple activities with tight deadlines
  • Proactive in outside the box thinking or anticipating challenges with processes
  • Confident in interacting with Senior leaders and Executives
