Roska DBO Inc. is seeking a motivated Shop & Yard Labourer to be based out of our Grande Prairie location. This vital role will be part of the logistics team that supports Roska as a whole.
 
This position will take direction from, and report back to the Logistics Coordinator on a daily basis. Tasks will vary based on the current needs of the business and will be carried out both inside and outside during all weather conditions. The successful candidate will conduct all activities in a manner that supports Roska’s CORE Values.
 
Anticipated responsibilities:

• General cleaning of shop and yard, parking lots, and ditches
• Mowing grass and using weed eater
• Snow blowing and shoveling snow from sidewalks, around doorways at office and yard, and at crew houses as needed
• Vehicle detailing (including changing seat covers)
• Position truck tool boxes
• Pick up safety equipment and parts from around Grande Prairie
• Occasionally deliver vehicles out of town
• Attach and move trailers for cleaning and events (standard hitch and gooseneck)
• Assist with events, including preparation and setup (BBQs, tents, etc.)
• Hot shots to work sites
• Work with equipment ticketing system
• Minor repairs and maintenance (shop, office, and vehicles)

 
Skills required:

• To be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
• To be in good physical condition, including strength, stamina and able to perform proper lifting techniques required to handle heavy tools and parts weighing up to 25 kilograms
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work activities and function within tight time schedules
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to stand for long periods, do some moderately heavy lifting and carrying in a noisy area
• Able to work in a safe and efficient manner
• Interpersonal, problem-solving, and listening skills

 
Education/Experience required:

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and clean driver’s abstract
• Shop/Yard labourer experience preferred
• Forklift/skid steer experience an asset
• Towing trailers
• Legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)

Roska DBO is searching for a driven and responsible person to fill a full time Accounting Support position in our Grande Prairie, Alberta head office location. Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, you will be a key member of the accounting team and support the day-to-day functions of the department.

POSITION SUMMARY:
As Accounting Support, you must be capable of multi-tasking and willing to support various roles in the company. This role requires adaptability as the responsibilities and deliverables may change based on operational cycles.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accounts Receivable– Including drafting, editing, reconciling invoices as well as uploading copies to client payment systems and our network
• Accounts Payable – Validating and recording vendor invoices
• Purchase Orders – updating, reviewing, and receiving
• Projects & Work Orders – Open, close, and modify in our ERP software
• Reconciliations and reporting
• Provide assistance to staff in the office, as required
• Filing – both paper and electronic/paperless using Adobe

COMPETENCIES:

• Familiarity with basic accounting procedures and principles
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Well organized

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Business Admin Diploma or Certificate (or equivalent experience) or combination of the following:
  • Accounting or bookkeeping diploma or certificate (or equivalent experience)
  • Certificate in MS Office Suite (or equivalent experience)
  • ERP training (or equivalent experience with Discovery, MS Navigator, Great Plains, SAP, JD Edwards or similar)

A major oil and gas company is looking for an experienced deep cut operator with a 4th class Power Engineering ticket, for their facility in the Grande Prairie area. This is a camp position on a 15/13 rotation. A minimum of 7 year’s experience.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 year’s experience in a pigging / field role. This is a local position with no camp available; applicants must be from the surrounding area (Grande Prairie included).
