Harvest has an immediate opening for a Team Lead, Safety, Health, Environment and Regulatory, reporting to the Vice President, Operations. This is a permanent position based out of the Calgary corporate office.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Harvest safety culture through demonstrating commitment, training and encouraging employee involvement by regularly communicating the importance of HSE.
• Ensure HSE policies, procedures and guidelines are effective and that required resources are available.
• In partnership with other functional groups, set HSE strategy, objectives & performance targets and track and report the effectiveness of HSE initiatives.
• Provide clear and actionable direction to Business Units on all HSE matters.
• Stay current with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all industryrelated HSE developments and evaluate the impact of emerging HSE regulations.
• Manage HSE compliance monitoring and verification activity within Business Units to ensure consistency with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with regulators, including, but not limited to, the AER, IOGC, OGC, OH&S and the WCB.
• Develop and steward a risk management program for core processes and activities.
• Manage incident reporting & investigation requirements, ensuring root cause analysis, corrective actions and communications are completed as required.
• Manage Emergency Management programs, awareness and training requirements.
• Steward core environmental and regulatory requirements, including emissions management, environmental compliance monitoring & reporting and environmental liability management, and ensure compliance is maintained.
• Manage hiring, orientation, performance and career development for the HSE team.
• Establish and manage the budget for the HSE department.

Qualifications:
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the management of HSE processes.
• A minimum of 5 years of management-level experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health & Safety or other HSE related areas.
• Knowledge of applicable legislation and policies related to occupational health & safety and the environment.

Team Lead, Supply Chain Management

Harvest has an immediate opening for a Team Lead, Supply Chain Management, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a permanent full-time position based out of the Harvest Calgary office.

Key Responsibilities:
•  Develop and deliver an SCM Strategy to meet Harvest’s business requirements and deliver financial savings within SCM Portfolio (category management, contract management, materials management including surplus sales along with supplier performance management)
•  Provide supervision to direct reports, as well as coaching and mentoring
•  Ensure compliance of Sourcing & Procurement Policy and Procedures
•  Ensure SCM delivers value creation measured by cost reduction and strategic purchasing opportunities
•  Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement SCM initiatives
•  Measure and monitor SCM status, performance and results through KPI metrics
•  Maintain effective communication and positive collaborative relations with key stakeholders
•  Produce regular reports on performance and provide comprehensive management information and in-depth analysis, when requested, including spend analysis, savings secured, and potential savings for forecast and budgets

Qualifications:
•  Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Contract Management, and Supplier Relationship Management
•  Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry; experience in SAGD is considered an asset
•  Bachelor’s degree and/or SCMP designation is considered an asset
•  Strong leadership and management experience in leading high-performance teams
•  Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to comfortably address and collaborate with members of the C-Level
•  Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving skills to resolve complex business situations and determine efficient approaches to provide permanent solutions

Joint Venture Analyst

Harvest has an immediate opening for a JV Analyst, reporting to the Team Lead, Joint Ventures. This is a permanent position based out of the Calgary Corporate office.

Key Responsibilities:
•Provide guidance and support to JV team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of company’s objectives
•Identify JV team and corporate priorities and ensure performance expectations are well defined
•Identify deficiencies within current JV work processes and work to improve efficiencies and effectiveness
•Act as focal point for all negotiations and communications with JV partners;
•Provide support to Accounting’s Equalization Team, Audit Coordinator, JV Accounting and Production Accounting to ensure timely and accurate resolution of accounting and audit queries
•Ensure proper work processes are in place to meet internal signing authorities and audit requirements
•Work closely with asset team, field, legal, land, accounting & marketing to steward the business for Harvest and its partners within the terms of the governing agreements.
•Work closely with capital and operations management to ensure optimum cash flow from Joint Ventures, contribute to strategic evaluations and recommend enhancements, maintenance or disposition of assets.
•Proactively seek and act on opportunities to market excess capacity in Harvest operated facilities, to keep plants and facilities full and production on stream, and other opportunities related to business strategies and planning;
•Set up Operating Committee Meetings and/or represents Harvest on Operating Committees and act as company spokesperson with regard to negotiating units, CO&Os and all other agreements related to joint venture.
•Establishes and/or helps monitors capital, production and operating budgets for operated properties by monitoring proper AFE expenditures, Mail Ballots, and/or all other matters for the Joint Account.
•Able to calculate fees using JP-05 and/or capex/opex/throughput over time and, run basic economics to assess viability of business opportunities (specific economics done by engineers);
•Clear understanding of the Joint Venture Audit process and PASC Audit Protocol;
•Able to research and compile pertinent documents and data required for dispute negotiations and potential litigation.
•Understands and acts within the confines of corporate confidentiality.
•Participate in A&D process – as required, to offer advice on facilities being marketed; partners involved and area strategy;
•Comply with Harvest’s Code of Ethics and General Business and Safety Principles.

Qualifications:
•A professional with an engineering, business, accounting or land background with 10+ years JV experience in the oil and gas industry
•Business Administration or Business Management degree or equivalent
•Experience in leading complex commercial negotiations and implementing deals
•Excellent organizational, planning and analytical skills
•Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company
•Strong computer skills and experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
•Knowledge of CS Explorer, Qbyte, GeoScout, AFE Navigator, Petroleum Registry, EnergyLink for Joint Interest Billings
•Commercial mindset and the ability to maximize business opportunities

Crane Operator

POSITION SUMMARY The primary function of the Crane Operator will be to assist in moving and lifting piping & equipment necessary for fabrication support as well as module construction. In addition, the operator will also be required to perform various labour duties on the ground as needed when not operating the crane.   PROJECT DETAILS

  • Shop/ Module Yard work
  • Hours are 7am – 5pm, 50 hours/week
  • Shop Location Crossfield, Alberta

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Operate cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials (18-ton Carry Deck – 160 Ton RT)
  • Perform pre-operational inspection, and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting
  • Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubrication.
  • Assist other tradesmen with the completion of their duties when required
  • Other various responsibilities may be required

QUALIFICATIONS Education

  • Valid Journeyperson Crane Operator certificate and minimum of two years of experience required

Experience

  • Experienced operator in industrial projects

  • Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Controller

NPS Industrial Power Corp. (“NPS”) is looking for a part time Controller to manage the accounting function. Reporting to the CFO, specific duties will include data entry, monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, AFE administration, accounts receivable and payable, bank transactions, account reconciliations, payroll and preparation and review of management reports, all culminating in an accurate trial balance.

The ideal candidate will be available to work approximately 3 days per week allocating their time between home and office.

Previous experience in oil and gas accounting, EnergyLink and payroll would be an asset and the ability to work cordially with others is essential.
