FRACTURING OPERATOR – (RDC)

FRACTURING OPERATOR – RED DEER (RDC)

The Fracturing Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during the hours of their shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
  • Operate various large duty trucks over outdoor terrain and through all weather conditions
  • Attend pre-job safety meeting on location
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections and accurately fill out all required forms
  • Perform rig-in and rig out of all equipment for travel
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with colleagues
  • Consult with supervisor and crew regarding any operational deficiencies
  • Assist in all required equipment maintenance
  • Ensure job quality, safety requirements, and standard procedures coincide with Trican company standards, government legislation, and customer requirements

Experience & Skills:

  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s licence is required
  • Pressure pumping experience is preferred
  • High school diploma is an asset
  • Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
  • Physically demanding, heavy lifting required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

COILED TUBING OPERATOR – GRANDE PRAIRIE (GPC)

The Coiled Tubing Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment on site at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate various large duty trucks over outdoor terrain and through all weather conditions
  • Participates in the investigation of incidents
  • Perform pre-and post trip inspections and accurately fill out all required forms
  • Attends pre-job safety meetings on location
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication with colleagues
  • Inspects and properly configures all equipment
  • Perform rig-up (assembly) and rig out (disassembly) of all equipment for travel
  • Perform maintenance operations to units and auxiliary equipment
  • Confers with supervisor and crew regarding any operational deficiencies
  • Ensure all Workplace Safety, Environmental and National Safety Code Policies and Regulation are followed

Experience & Skills:

  • Valid Class 1or Class 3 Driver’s licence is required
  • Pressure pumping experience is required
  • High school diploma is an asset
  • Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
  • Physically demanding – heavy lifting required

APPRENTICE HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC (EAST SHOP) – GRANDE PRAIRIE (GPC)

The Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and mechanical workings of all vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priority in all activities
  • Read diagrams/schematics for work procedures
  • Operate a hoist and lift device to position machinery in a safe manner
  • Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment
  • Service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and perform other routine maintenance work
  • Keep up to date with industry standards and regulations
  • Provides guidance and instruction to less experienced operators, or apprentice maintenance personnel

Experience & Skills:

  • Apprenticeship status as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, 2nd and/or 3rd year preferred. 
  • Previous experience in a Field Mechanic role will also be considered
  • CVIP inspection license an asset
  • Valid Class 1 license preferred; will consider Class 3 or 5
  • Safe driving skills: driver’s abstract will be requested
  • Physically fit – heavy lifting required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

CEMENT TWIN OPERATOR – GRANDE PRAIRIE (GPC)

The Cement Twin Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
  • Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
  • Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between locations safely and efficiently while under qualified supervision
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections by accurately completing corresponding driver log forms while remaining in accordance with Trican inspection procedures
  • Keep unit binders up to date including all permits, government regulatory paperwork, iron inspections, and maintenance documentation
  • Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment
  • Rig-out of all equipment for travel and conduct movement to following site
  • Perform maintenance operations to pumping units and auxiliary equipment

Experience & Skills:

  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s licence required
  • High school diploma is an asset
  • Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
  • Physically fit – heavy lifting required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills
