CEMENT TWIN SUPERVISOR – (GPC)

CEMENT TWIN SUPERVISOR – GRANDE PRAIRIE (GPC)

The Cement Twin Supervisor will report to the Cement Coordinator and is responsible for the coordination of various cement and acid operations in the field. Supervisors are responsible for the supervision and safety of personnel and equipment at all times, whether on a customer’s location or between locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
  • Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
  • Investigate workplace incidents and Initiate the disciplinary process for infractions by operations staff
  • Supervise and operate various large duty trucks over diverse outdoor terrain and conditions
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections by accurate completion of corresponding driver log forms while remaining in accordance with Trican inspection procedures
  • Conduct pre-job Acidizing and Cementing calculations involving blending and mixing, volumetric calculations and rates, as well as hydrostatic calculations
  • Conduct supervision along with rig-up of treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment
  • Perform supervision and rig-out of all equipment for travel and conduct movement to following site
  • Perform and supervise maintenance operations to units and auxiliary equipment
  • Assist with the evaluation and training process of operations personnel
  • Perform three of each standard primary Cementing treatments or three of each standard Acid treatments

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum two years experience in cement operations
  • Valid Class 1 driver’s licence is required
  • Pressure pumping experience is preferred
  • High school diploma is an asset
  • Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
  • Physically demanding, heavy lifting required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Assistant Station Manager

The Assistant Manager supports the day-to-day operations of multiple service lines, including Electric Line, Fiber Optics, Slickline, Specialty Services, and Well Optimization. This role ensures efficient operations, effective resource coordination, and high-quality service delivery while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational planning and activities within the assigned area and division.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business operations and reporting.
  • Oversee facility management, including shop inspections, repair of shop equipment and preventative maintenance, etc.
  • Assist federal inspectors with conducting external audits of our training, inventory and compliance records.
  • Maintain alarm code, key and fob repository for shop, GLF and RA access.
  • Assign job priorities and manage personnel and equipment.
  • Review and approve tickets, invoices, and equipment or sales purchases.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date operational records and compliance documentation (e.g., logbooks, hours of service, key control, RA badges, explosives inventory).
  • Coordinate mandatory compliance and on-the-job training.
  • Respond to urgent operational situations and participate in on-call rotation.

COILED TUBING OPERATOR – (RDC)

The Coiled Tubing Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during the hours of their shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate various large duty trucks over outdoor terrain and through all weather conditions
  • Participates in the investigation of incidents
  • Perform pre-and post trip inspections and accurately fill out all required forms
  • Attends pre-job safety meetings on location
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication with colleagues
  • Inspects and properly configures all equipment
  • Perform rig-up (assembly) and rig out (disassembly) of all equipment for travel
  • Perform maintenance operations to units and auxiliary equipment
  • Confers with supervisor and crew regarding any operational deficiencies
  • Ensure all Workplace Safety, Environmental and National Safety Code Policies and Regulation are followed

Experience & Skills:

  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s licence is required
  • Pressure pumping experience is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a hoist and lift device to position machinery in a safe manner
  • Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment

  • Keep up to date with industry standards and regulations
  • Provides guidance and instruction to less experienced operators, or apprentice maintenance personnel

Experience & Skills:

  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification is required
  • CVIP is considered an asset
  • Valid Class 1 license preferred; will consider Class 3 or 5
  • Heavy Equipment Technician will be an asset
  • Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
  • Physically fit – heavy lifting required

Journeyman Pipefitter-Steamfitter

Job Description:

MPI Oilfield is looking for Pipefitters that can work independently and with precision. This is a leadership role for someone who is solution focused, able to work well with others and can ensure work is completed in a safe and timely manner. You are expected to work with the customer and other employees doing layout, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.

Skills You Bring:

– Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use and lay out the sequence of tasks.
– Work with others trades on repairs such as WAC’s, after filters and ORF’s, tanks and boilers.
– Knowledge of LOTO systems.
– Draft detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation, as required.
– Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic and fiberglass pipes, valves, and fittings.
– Fit up and secure pipe sections and related equipment.
– Ability to understand and apply all safety standards.
– Able to work in all weather conditions and complete physically demanding work.
– Attention to detail and the ability to do careful, precise work is a must.
– Testing equipment experience to check systems for leaks, set up hydro equipment and complete hydro’s for client.
– Perform other duties as assigned.

– Journeyman Pipefitter Certificate (Red Seal if out of Province)
