Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Manager located in Edmonton, AB. Journeyperson Pipefitter

POSITION SUMMARY Our Journeyperson Pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling and industrial production and processing systems.    Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety”, and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect and fairness.   Note: This posting will be used to collect applications to fill current openings as well as anticipated future openings. Future openings are anticipated but not guaranteed.   PROJECT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Candidates local to the Edson are preferred

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s, etc.)
  • Assist journeyperson pipefitters with the installation of equipment, pipe and structural steel onsite 
  • Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor package
  • Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging
  • Hydrotest, assemble and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility
  • Measure, cut, and thread pipe to required shape
  • Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Journeyperson ticket from the appropriate provincial or federal authority
  • Previous experience working as an apprentice in the oilfield industry 
  • Previous construction experience
  • H2S Alive, WHIMIS, CSTS, and Standard First Aid
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Capable of working with small tools
  • Capable of working as part of a team
  • Fluent in speaking and reading English
  • Must be able to follow directions
  • Previous experience and ticket operating bobcats, skid steer, or zoom boom considered an asset
  • Fall protection, gas monitor training, confined space, AWP trading tickets considered an asset

Position Summary
The Senior Operations Administrator provides high-level administrative and operational support to the field and office-based operations team. This role ensures the smooth coordination of daily activities, documentation, compliance reporting, and communication across departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in supporting oil and gas field operations, production tracking, and cost management.

Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for the Operations team, supporting daily production, maintenance, and logistics activities.
• Prepare, review, and distribute production reports, daily drilling and completion updates, and HSE documentation.
• Maintain accurate databases for well files, production volumes, downtime, and cost tracking.
• Coordinate and process purchase orders, invoices, and AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) documentation.
• Maintaining well files (paperless) and managing inactive well list
• Ensure regulatory and environmental compliance by tracking required submissions, inspections, and documentation.
• Work closely with supply chain, accounting, and field supervisors to streamline communication and administrative workflows.

Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in Business Admin., Office Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with strong exposure to field operations.
• Solid understanding of oil and gas production terminology, field logistics, and operational workflows.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and software such as PVR, ProdView, WellView, and AFE Navigator.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.

Position Summary
The Operations / Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily production activities across oil and gas operations. This role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable performance while driving continuous improvement and cost optimization. The successful candidate will analyze well and facility performance, identify opportunities to enhance production, and coordinate maintenance and workover programs. Acting as a key technical resource, this role supports field operations, mentors junior staff, and contributes to strategic planning and operational excellence initiatives in all operations disciplines.

Responsibilities
• Provide production, completion and facilities engineering support to the area team for exploration and development activities.
• Provide production optimization enhancement for area wells and pumping systems.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to field staff.
• Propose and implement operating cost reduction initiatives.
• Track and maintain Alberta and Saskatchewan Government compliance requirements.
• Provide due diligence support for area A&D activities.
• Demonstrate a high level of business acumen, creativity and strategic leadership within a multi-disciplinary team to support the continued success of the corporation.

Qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years of technical industry experience with a demonstrated history of adding value.
• Experience with tight oil plays and multi-stage horizontal fracturing are an asset
• Oversee all day-to-day workover servicing and programming.
• Demonstrated motivation, strong communication, and analytical skills with the ability to bring informal leadership to a multi-disciplined team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience in dealing with gas conservation projects and design

Production Accountant

October 21, 2025

Barrel Oil Corp was formed in early 2019 to acquire and optimize internally identified producing oil and gas opportunities in conventional reservoirs of Western Canada. Barrel currently produces 8,000 boe/d from several producing areas in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Barrel is looking to add a production accountant to fulfill a six-month contract. There may be an opportunity to extend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle production/revenue accounting for properties in Alberta
  • Reconciliation of revenue receivable accounts
  • Allocation and distribution of monthly trucking charges
  • Maintain complete auditable monthly files with appropriate backup
  • Communicate with BOC full Team: Field, Measurement, Operations, Marketing, Accounting (JV), Partners

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Production Accounting, exposure Effluent Measurement an asset
  • CAPPA Certificate
  • Experience with PAS, Qbyte FM is preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills – new property, there will be many questions
  • Confident, self-starter as this is a new asset to BOC
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel advanced functions would be beneficial
