LOGISTICS DRIVER – GRANDE PRAIRIE (GPC)

The Logistics Driver is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
  • Operate various large duty trucks over outdoor terrain and through all weather conditions
  • Attend pre-job safety meeting on location
  • Perform pre/post trip inspections and accurately fill out all required forms
  • Perform rig-in/out of all equipment for travel
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with colleagues
  • Consult with supervisor and crew regarding any operational deficiencies
  • Assist in all required equipment maintenance
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed in a timely manner

Experience & Skills:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s licence is required
  • High school diploma is an asset
  • Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
  • Physically fit – heavy lifting required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills
  • Skilled in problem-solving techniques

Office Administrator/Receptionist

POSITION SUMMARY An Office Administrator/Receptionist provides administrative support in the Grande Prairie office and is approachable, organized, and customer service oriented. The Administrator/Receptionist maintains an appropriate level of confidentiality in all interactions.     POSITION DETAIL

  • This position will be based out of our office in Grande Prairie.
  • This is a full-time, in-person position.
  • Able to start immediately.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • General Administration/Communication/Reception: Represent Strike in person, on the phone, and through electronic communications. Communicate current information with clients and staff. Prepare and/or proofread written communications. Manage, monitor, and maintain area office records. Dispose or store according to company standards. Maintain a professional and organized administrative office. 
  • Payroll: Track and confirm worker hours and record accurate data for payroll processing.
  • Accounts Receivable/Payable: Prepare, distribute, and track invoices for billing, and confirm, make necessary corrections, and file incoming invoices for payment.
  • Purchasing: Enter and file purchase orders and track against incoming invoices.
  • Reporting: Enter, post, and run reports such as transactions, project data, and requested audits.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Office administration or accounting diploma (e.g. administration, accounting, commerce) is preferred.
  • Previous experience is encouraged, but not necessary. We can train the right candidate. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel are preferred.
  • Candidates preferred will exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, strong communication and customer service, data management, team-player, and flexible/open to change.

Labourer

SUMMIT, An Earth Services Company is seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals to join the Summit Decommissioning Services (SDS) team as Labourers (Competition #26-04-0747). This position will be predominately field work based out of Brooks, Alberta.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

This role will work in hands-on capacity in a fast-paced team environment, supporting various projects completing pipeline/facility decommissioning or maintenance throughout the Lloydminster and surrounding area. You will be working 10 to 12 hours per day on a shift which may vary from Monday to Friday, through to 24 days on and 6 days off.

You will be supported by the entire Summit organization which consists of a dynamic team of technical administrators, business development professionals, and an in-house IT department and many other highly experienced, skilled and educated Professionals.

JOB DUTIES:

Your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following;

  • assist with hoisting, rigging and picker operations,
  • ground excavation with hand tools,
  • install and remove bolted/threaded pipe connections,
  • support day to day and on-site job tasks,
  • aid in job completion,
  • embody and promote safety in all tasks,
  • assist in loading and mobilizing equipment and tools as projects demand, and
  • operate various equipment and tools, as directed by lead(s).

Candidates must be prepared to work in a multidisciplinary, fast paced project team environment and able to undertake a variety of project related tasks, deadlines and ability to work and/or travel in varied terrains, weather conditions and isolated locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent,
  • Ability to take initiative, ownership and work independently with excellent problem-solving skills, and
  • Possess exceptional understanding of safety processes/tools and hazard recognition.
  • Ability to lift weights of up to 50lbs, repetitively.
  • This is a physically demanding role, the candidate will be required to successfully complete a functional fitness test prior to successful employment

 

The following are considered an asset;

  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and clean drivers abstract,
  • Experience in pipeline/facility abandonment services, Oil & Gas field services, or Energy and Utilities industry related experience,
  • Current H2S, 1st Aid, H2S, Ground Disturbance certifications
  • Experience operating equipment (skid steer)

  • Partner with operations, employees, contractors, and leadership teams to identify hazards, manage risk, conduct field inspections, and support the safe execution of work.
  • Lead incident and near-miss investigations, identify trends through safety performance data, and provide practical recommendations to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coach and support employees and leaders in safety practices, regulatory compliance, and safe work decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational goals, contractor management, and company-wide safety initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive safety leadership experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience supporting field operations and contractor-managed work environments is considered an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
  • CRSP and/or NCSO designations are considered assets.
  • Strong understanding of upstream and/or midstream operations, hazard identification, contractor management, and safe work systems.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and support teams at all levels.
